Meet Our Optometrist
Dr. Derek Vogelpohl
Dr. Vogelpohl received his Doctorate of Optometry as Class Salutatorian at Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, IL. A native of central Illinois, he graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
His externships emphasized the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, pediatric vision, the fitting of specialty contact lenses and low vision.

Dr. Vogelpohl has special interest in primary care including contact lens fittings, pediatric vision therapy, low vision services, Lasik pre-and post-procedure care, and in the treatment of eye disease. He is fully licensed to prescribe therapeutic pharmacological medication and treat ocular disease and is a member of the American Optometric Association.
I followed Dr. V here because he was very thorough with my eye exam and just a great "bedside" manner. He listens to you and takes care of any questions. The staff is awesome! So friendly and helpful! They all make you feel like family!
